Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and payment information (processed securely by Stripe).

Site Data: When you connect a website to Helix, we collect information about the pages being tested, including headline text and other copy elements you select for optimization.

Visitor Analytics: Our JavaScript snippet collects anonymous visitor data on your website, including page views, clicks, and conversions. This data is associated with randomly generated visitor IDs — we do not collect personally identifiable information from your website visitors.

Usage Data: We collect information about how you use the Helix dashboard, including pages visited, features used, and tests created.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and improve the Helix service
• Generate and test copy variants on your website
• Calculate statistical significance for A/B tests
• Build your Copy DNA profile to improve future variant generation
• Process payments and manage your subscription
• Send transactional emails (test results, account updates)
• Respond to support requests

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• **Stripe** for payment processing
• **Clerk** for authentication
• **AI providers** (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) for copy generation — only your existing copy text is sent, never visitor data
• **Neon** for database hosting

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Test data and analytics are retained for 12 months after test completion. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting support@helixcopy.com.

5. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including:

• Encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL)
• Encrypted data storage
• AES-256 encryption for API keys stored via BYOK
• Role-based access controls
• Regular security audits

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

7. Cookies

Our JavaScript snippet uses a first-party cookie to maintain consistent visitor IDs for A/B test assignment. This cookie contains only a randomly generated ID and expires after 30 days.
